Seventy is the product of two perfect numbers, seven and ten. According to Bullinger, the number ten signifies "the perfection of divine order."⁽¹⁾ Hence, seventy signifies perfect spiritual order carried out with all spiritual power and significance. Both spirit and order are greatly emphasized.⁽²⁾

Daniel's prophecy of the seventy weeks explicitly carries these numerical connotations since spiritual perfection is achieved through a sequence of "time-oriented" events that foretold the exact day of the coming Messiah at the first appearing in the first century. Does the seventy weeks prophecy also conceal the exact time of the second coming of the Messiah?
