Was the 14,000 theory just a nice theory taken from the Today, I stand in awe of the 14,000 days extracted from Daniel's time-oriented prophecy of the 70-weeks and hidden in the Torah and the time-oriented prophecy of Daniel. . .
Or is there something deeper to the 14,000 days that appear hidden in Scripture until the modern era?
Consider the sequence of events that have transpired through October 4, 2005...
- In 1948, Israel became a nation as foretold by prophets of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament.
- On June 7, 1967, Jesus' words recorded in Luke 21:24b were literally fulfilled that the Jewish people would regain political control of Jerusalem.
- On October 4, 2005, the 14,000th day from June 7, 1967, several phenomenological alignments occurred as follows:
- A solar eclipse covered the lands of the Bible
- the Feast of Trumpets
- Ramadan began on the same day.
- A lunar eclipse occurred on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles.

What do we Know? Specific Prophecies in the Gospel of Luke have been literally fulfilled
|
|
We know that when the Jewish people regained political and military control of Jerusalem on June 7, 1967, Jesus' prophetic words were fulfilled.
To discern this viewpoint requires that Luke 21:20-24 be interpreted in the light of the question posed in Luke 21:7. In this verse, Jesus foretells of the future destruction of Jerusalem that occurred in AD 70. This based on Luke 21:5-6.
Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down" (Luke 21:5-6)
Based on this remark by Jesus, a question is posed to him as recorded in Luke 21:7.
"Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?" (Luke 21:7)
It is important to understand that the verses above do NOT refer to asking when he will return at the 2nd coming of Messiah. However, it is just as important to read the entire chapter and discover that Jesus did link the destruction of Jerusalem that occurred in AD 70 to his return in the distant future. This is made clear by the following verses recorded later in Luke 21:27-28.
"At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" (Luke 21:27-28)
Due to the context of the entire chapter, it is important to divde the chapter into the following sequence of events:
- Luke 21:5-6 is a discussion between the disciples and Jesus about the temple and how the temple would be destroyed, which did occur in AD 70.
Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down" (Luke 21:5-6)
- The QUESTION that the disciples asked Jesus (as shown below) is answered very specifically by Jesus in Luke 21:20-24. It is important to understand that there will be only ONE SIGN (singular, not plural) that will answer the question.
"Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?" (Luke 21:7)
- General signs or plural signs are presented in Luke 21:8-19. These signs have always been around and do not answer the question posed in Luke 21:7. These signs began in the 1st generation church and are still occurring in modern history.
He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am he,' and, `The time is near.' Do not follow them. When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. "But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. This will result in your being witnesses to them. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. By standing firm you will gain life. (Luke 21:8-19)
- The specific fulfillment that answers the question in ancient history in respect to Jesus' words in Luke 21:6-7, which foretells of the temple being destroyed and the Jewish people being dispersed worldwide. The fulfilled verses in ancient history take in Luke 21:20-24a.
"When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. (Luke 21:8-19)
- The specific fulfillment that answers the question in modern history in respect to Jesus' words in Luke 21:7, which foretells of the worldwide dispersion of the Jewish people and that prior to Jesus' return, the Jewish people will return and gain political control of Jerusalem. This was literally fulfilled on June 7, 1967 as written in Luke 21:24b. This intriguing little verses takes in 1,897 years from AD 70 to the 1967.
"Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:24b)
- The rest of the chapter fades back to general signs or plural signs are presented in Luke 21:25-28 that occur in prior to the return of Jesus as the conquering Messiah. Consider the words and ask yourself if these words take on meaning based on current events and in light of the 14,000 day theory.
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:25-28)
- Luke 21:25a has a direct relationship to the 14,000 days. To obtain the 14,000 days required scientific dating biblical events using the position of the sun, the moon and the earth. And it is also interesting that this verse is subsequent to the Six-day War event foretold by Jesus in Luke 21:24b.
- Since the 14,000 days can only be obtained due to scientific dating using astronomy, the 14,000 days relate to the core meaning of Luke 21:25a. By this statement, I mean that the 14,000 days appear to be a biblical sign related to the 2nd coming of Christ. Although you may choose to disagree, I will take this viewpoint. For unlike all others who have discussed the 14,000 days, I initiated this research by a compelling spiritual experience. I cannot ignore this experience as well as many others that resulted from this study. And I also believe it is important to understand that I did not seek these experiences. The experiences began in a church body that does not promote or teach its people to seek such experiences. In fact, I was taken by surprise when the experiences began.
Why the 14,000 days?
I cannot truthfully answer the question other than to stand in awe of the fact the 14,000 days were extracted from Daniel's time-oriented prophecy of the 70-weeks. The number 14,000 comes from a biblical prophecy based on the numbers 7 and 70. Both of these numbers divide evenly into the value, 14,000.
However, I also believe that the 14,000 days somehow link the gospel of Luke to the gospels of Matthew and Mark in respect to endtime events. The next section will discuss this linkage and what we should expect in the future.
The unveiling of the 14,000 days is intriguing to me and others. However, some people will be convinced that the 14,000 days are simply a random event. If you think that the 14,000 days are an aberration, then I highly suggest you read the Spiritual Technology website to gain insight into the spiritual reality. What to Expect Beyond 2005? Based on Matthew and Mark - Watch the Temple Mount
|
|
The previous section discusses how the gospel of Luke has been fulfilled up to Luke 21:25. No other New Testament book contains scripture that specifically foretells of the Jewish people retaking control of Jerusalem. However, this event is inferred by the specific event foretold in both the gospels of Matthew and Mark. Since the 14,000 days terminated on the Feast of Trumpets along with a solar eclipse, it appears to be a biblical sign that points us to the future fulfillment of both the gospels of Matthew and Mark.
What specific event should we be watching for in the gospel of Matthew and Mark?
You will be delighted to learn that we only need to be looking for one sign. Keep your eyes on the temple mount in Jerusalem. The specific sign foretold to occur requires a Jewish Temple to be built on the temple mount. And it will most likely be standing beside an Islamic Mosque. To support this biblical theory, consider the Scriptures referred to below. And also keep in mind as you read that on October 19, 2005 (Tishri 16, the 2nd day of the Feast of Tabernacles), Jewish believers were permitted to enter the temple mount area to pray. The decision by the Israeli Judiciary is a precedent setting one, permitting the Jews not only to visit the Mount but to pray. This has not happened for more than 30 years. This new precedent in the Israeli judicial system opens the door that will most likely lead to the literal fulfillment of the gospels of Matthew and Mark. The event of Jewish people entering the temple mount area to pray with the support of the Israeli Judicial system is exactly the type of event for which we are to be watching. Now consider the Scriptures.
It is important to understand the following differences between the gospels of Luke compared to the gospels of Matthew and Mark.
- The return of Jerusalem to the Jewish people is only "specifically" foretold in the gospel of Luke
- The control of the temple mount in Jerusalem to the Jewish people that leads to the building of a Jewish Temple is only foretold in the gospels of Matthew and Mark.
- It is important to understand that the gospels of Matthew and Mark record the same foretold event, a Jewish Temple on the temple mount. Due to this biblical fact, we only need to consider the gospel of Matthew. I will only quote from the gospel of Matthew from hereon. If you want to compare the words, you can read the words recorded in Mark 13.
The foundation of the biblical stories in the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke begin with Jesus foretelling of the coming destruction of the temple that was fulfilled on August 5, AD 70. Consider the parallels between Luke versus the gospels of Matthew and Mark (as well as specific differences).
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down" (Matthew 24:1-2)
Based on Jesus' words, a question is posed to him as recorded in Matthew 24:3 (or Mark 13:3-4).
"As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" (Matthew 24:3)
It is important to understand that the verses above do ASK Jesus when he will return. And the specific answer is required, which is given in Matthew 24:15. I will present this sign shortly along with an overview of Matthew 24.
For now, let's divide Matthew 24 into sectors as we did for the gospel of Luke.
- Matthew 24:1-2 is a discussion between the disciples and Jesus about the temple and how the temple would be destroyed, which did occur in AD 70.
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down" (Matthew 24:1-2)
- The QUESTION that the disciples asked Jesus (as shown below) is answered very specifically by Jesus in Matthew 24:15. It is important to understand that there will be only ONE SIGN (singular, not plural) that will answer the question.
"As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" (Matthew 24:3)
- General signs or plural signs are presented in Matthew 24:4-14. These signs have always been around and do not answer the question posed in Matthew 24:3. These signs began in the 1st generation church and are still occurring in modern history.
Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:4-14)
- The specific fulfillment that answers the disciples' question posed to Jesus' in Matthew 24:3. The foretold specific sign requires an endtime Jewish Temple to be built on the temple mount. Based on historic events, it appears certain that this verse will be fulfilled in the near future. Consider verse 14 below, which is underlined and the subsequent verses.
"So when you see standing in the holy place `the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand-- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:15-22)
- The underlined words above refer to an event that is required to take place inside a Jewish Temple on the temple mount. Due to these words, Christians need to be watching for signs that will lead to the construction of a Jewish Temple.
Furthermore, as the study of war has intensified since World War II, so have the horrors of war. Consider the words, "great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive." Now ask yourself, has the human race ever had the capability of destroying every person upon the planet until the 2nd half of the 20th century?
These words bring to light the 14,000 day alignment hidden in the biblical texts. And it was during the 14,000 days that the nations developed weaponry capable of destroying the entire planet.
- The rest of the Matthew 24 fades back to general signs that occur prior to the return of Jesus as the conquering Messiah. Consider the words and ask yourself if these words take on meaning based on current events and in light of the 14,000 day theory.
At that time if anyone says to you, `Look, here is the Christ!' or, `There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, `There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, `Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. "Immediately after the distress of those days " `the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:23-30)
- Recently I was on the receiving end of an email from Israel written by a Jewish believer. Since the Jewish people of today are the descendents of those who rejected Jesus as the Messiah, they are looking forward to the coming of the Messiah. This person chooses to believe that the Messiah will not appear to Gentiles. Instead, the Messiah will only be seen inside a room where Jewish people will know him. Consider Jesus' words, "if anyone tells you, `There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, `Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."
Today, I stand in awe of the 14,000 days extracted from Daniel's time-oriented prophecy of the 70-weeks and hidden in the Torah. I believe that the 14,000 days somehow link the gospel of Luke to the gospels of Matthew and Mark in respect to endtime events.
